After having her first child in 2008, Laura decided she needed something different to add to her already avid fitness routine. Being a member of the East Bank Club she discovered an inspiring vinyasa instructor as well as much needed child-care right under the same roof! Devoted to her mat regularly from the start she continued on to attend workshops and yoga classes outside the gym whenever time would allow. "Yoga is a practice that helps me relax, a community that makes me feel secure, and an exercise that helps me feel strong and in control of my body" she says. Eight years, another child, a move to the suburbs and 2 teacher trainings at yogaview later, Laura is a certified "Yoga Addict". "I practice yoga everyday. I also try to practice asana everyday." As a busy wife, mom, teacher and designer of clothing line Second Cut, Laura finds herself utilizing the sense of calmness she gathers during her practice and takes it out into the world. "Yoga is more than just a practice. It's a lifestyle that affects every choice, every action, every word and every moment of my life". Laura's intention in teaching is to inspire others to connect with and express their greatest potential both on and off the mat. Drawn to the full body strengthening, peace, and relaxation that she finds through the practice, Laura continues to come to her mat with an open mind and heart. Laura's teaching style is creative, fun, vigorous and constantly evolving and growing on a daily basis and just hopes to express her love of yoga onto each and every student she teaches.
Laura's favorite quote is : "It's called practice because we are never finished."
She is steadily inspired by her teachers Tom Quinn, Quinn Kearney, Geri Bleier & Claire Mark and has two certifications through yogaview.
