Kelly’s passion for teaching is rooted in her love of movement and her commitment to healthy, mindful living.
She began practicing yoga in 1998 as a way to increase her mobility and support her rehab efforts after having knee surgery. Kelly was immediately drawn to the therapeutic benefits and healing power of the practice, and so began her journey. While living in San Francisco, Kelly practiced Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Bikram yoga. She not only found that the styles complemented one another and the variety kept her growing as a student, but it also sparked her desire to teach.
Kelly began her teaching career after completing Bikram’s Teacher Training in 2003. Several years later, she was introduced to Baptiste Power Vinyasa and became a certified Baptiste teacher in 2010. She also completed the Art of Assisting program with Gregor Singleton and Paige Elenson in 2010 and assisted the Art of Assisting program in 2012. Most recently, Kelly completed Yogaview’s Level 2 Teacher Training in the Spring of 2014. She is also certified in prenatal yoga and loves working with pre and post-natal moms. A couple highlights of Kelly's teaching career include teaching at lululemon's "Hit an Om Run" at Wrigley Field in July 2013 and at Wanderlust’s “Yoga in the City” event in Grant Park in May 2014.
Whether practicing, teaching or helping others achieve their best, Kelly believes in approaching health pursuits with love and openness. She’s known for her positive energy and nurturing approach and prides herself on not only respecting the individuality of each student, but also creating a supportive environment in which they can thrive.
Kelly is a mom of three boys and is inspired by their vitality and pure delight in the moment.
