Jolynn Houlihan

Yoga has transformed Jolynn's life, and she teaches because it means everything in the world to her to share the gifts of this practice with others. Jolynn's classes highlight alignment, breath, and mindfulness and encourage students to connect to their inner wisdom. Her teaching is informed by her continual study, her dedicated daily practice, and her commitment to her internal exploration and growth. Her principal teacher and mentor is Gabriel Halpern, with whom she studies Iyengar yoga and yoga therapeutics. She has completed teacher trainings with Seane Corn, Tias Little, and Ana Forrest and has studied with many other master teachers. Jolynn's two young daughters and husband are her greatest teachers of light, love, grounding, and joy. Jolynn is involved with Off the Mat, Into the World®, a nonprofit program founded by Seane Corn, Suzanne Sterling and Hala Khouri that is dedicated to integrating yoga and social activism. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Jewish Child and Family Services, where she also teaches yoga.
